The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

It was easier installation once I started investigating. On my 2018 Mazda Miata MX-5, 6 speed straight shift. I just had to unbolt the accelerator pedal. 2 bolts held the pedal in. The plug in is a part of the accelerator. The Pedal Commander makes accelerating more sensitive the higher it's setting. I'm still trying to figure some things out since I just installed it. Sport+ can only be used once going down the highway cruising, not for take off. I believe the Pedal Commander was still worth the purchase.

It works great. It definitely makes your car feel better. I have a modded MX5, and it made my car feel so punchy, I had to take it off sport+ and use sport on the 2nd level. It feels almost like when you change the gearing ratio in a car. For some reason people are always acting like these don’t do anything, but there is a very noticeable difference. The only thing I am disappointed with is I wasn’t able to get my first responder/military discount. They have a thing you click on when checking out for that discount, it just kept processing for like 10 minutes and I gave up on it.

Installed this in my 2010 Mazda Miata. Installation wasn’t too difficult except for releasing the latch on the cable that attaches to the gas pedal. It is awkward to get to and hard to release the latch and pull the cable out. The other issue is where to mount the control panel on the 3rd generation Miata. Not a lot of flat surface areas that are visible. After installation, played with the 4 modes and has amazed at the difference in how the car behaved. Sport+ is definitely not for the faint of heart! Can’t wait until I get to the mountains and some aggressive driving. Tried the app on my Android phone. Worked well. Not sure I need it since I can control it with the panel just as easily.
