If your check engine light turns on soon after installation...
Causes

The ECU was still operational when the item was fitted.

A faulty connection. Plugs did not "lock" or "click" into position completely.

Resolution

Remove the Pedal Commander device after turning off your vehicle and allowing the ECU to shut down. Restart your automobile after reconnecting the regular plugs. When the check engine light comes on, properly reinstall the Pedal Commander.


You Get a Check Engine Light After Some Time
Causes

Plugs weren't initially locked in upon installation.

Modes were switched while the accelerator was in operation or the cruise control was activated.

Resolution

If you take out the Pedal Commander and reinstall the factory plugs, your ECU and CEL can be fully reset. After the proper installation has been completed, reattach the Pedal Commander.


Lights on your Pedal Commander aren't turning on...
Causes

Unit was improperly installed.

Unit is not powered on.

Resolution

Make that the plugs are connected properly and are "clicked" into place.

Check engine lights can be turned off with an OBII scanner or by reconnecting your original plugs and restarting your car several times (5–6).
